The World Health Organization pandemic alert level is Phase 6Tracking & Statistics
The Phase 6 alert is the highest level of the WHO pandemic phases and has not been declared since 1968. According to the WHO pandemic response guidelines, Phase 6 confirms that there is human-to-human spread of the H1N1 (swine flu) virusin at least two countries in two different world regions. This classification means that a worldwide pandemic is imminent and that countries must finalize preparations to deal with the H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak.
