Eid ul-Fitr or Id-ul-Fitr, often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fit.r means "charity" (and can also mean "nature", from the word "fitrah"); and so the holiday symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period. It is celebrated starting on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri (also seen as Hari Raya Idul Fitri and Hari Raya Puasa, literally "Celebration Day of Fasting") is the Malay term for the Muslim festival of Eid ul-Fitr. Hari Raya is also known as Lebaran. Muslims in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore celebrate Eid like other Muslims throughout the world. The term "Hari Raya" literally means "Day of Celebration" — it is also occasionally used to refer to Eid ul-Adha in the form of "Hari Raya Aidiladha". The main greeting used by Muslims in Malaysia and Singapore is "Selamat Hari Raya" which means "Happy Eid" in Malay. Another greeting is "maaf zahir dan batin" which translates loosely to "I seek forgiveness (from you) physically and spiritually", for Hari Raya is a time to reconcile and renew relationships with others.

Allahu akbar... Allahu akbar... Allahu akbar... walillahilham... It's only a few more days before Eid ul-Fitr or commonly called Hari Raya Aidilfitri here in Malaysia. I would like to wish all a Happy Hari Raya to all muslim generally. Specially to my wife, my son "amir", my family, mom, dad, angah and wan and also to my in law, mak, apak, lob and at... also makcik pakcik and family. To isha, "relax aaa... dah biasa raya kat Japan kan...??"... "Sana pun ada ketupat dan rendang juga..." To all bloggers @ my active friends [may refer to blogger list]... also wishing to all my officemate, a.k.a kopipastur community a very happy hari raya although it's not quite happy... haha See you in Kuantan this year. I'll be in Kuantan for 3-4 days.

Pengumuman raya paling ditunggu-tunggu,
Tak sabar semua nak jerit yahuu...
